Free open source software would certainly not meet their requirements.

Don’t be fooled by the simple interface of the software as it is a powerful illustration program which can perform many tasks.  Illustration can be created in EazyDraw through the pen tool.  This software also supports layers with each of them having a transparency option. The exporting capabilities of the software are somewhat limited. Apart from exporting in its native format, EPS is the only other format in which you can export files.  The price of the software is lower for its nine month trial version which might appeal to users. Apart from that, there is free trial version available as well but is lasts for a very limited period.

The OmniGraffle is also in the list of drawing programs for the Mac. This software is designed to simplify the creation of wireframes, flowcharts and many other diagrams. Geometric tools have been integrated in the software to draw lines, shapes, arrows and other figures which are used on a blank canvas.  The drawing side of the OmniGraffle is quick and creative.  You can create shapes, lines and other images with ease.  While it comes to the editing, the OmniGraffle doesn’t perform as well as it does in other fields. You can get a little confused while trying to create a tidy layout with the software.  You have a large toolset to work with which allows you to customize the diagram that you draw.  Like the other two software mentioned above, this software hasn’t been designed at a professional level like the Adobe Photoshop but it does the job of diagramming quite well.

The CorelDraw graphics suite is computer software with lots of creative tools that help you in creating and editing images, graphics and translating your ideas into reality. This software has all the useful features that you could possibly want in any graphic suite.  When you have this graphics suite by Corel, you can tackle a wide array of challenges such as logo creation, making banners, making marketing brochures or simply editing images. The CorelDraw graphics suite can be used to create a presentation for any media and it is bound to have an impact on the viewers. This product was initially released by Corel back in 1989 and over the years, it has evolved as modern day software fully equipped to perform all image and graphic related tasks.

There are many file formats that this software can support For architects, special support for  CAD has been integrated into the software which is the reason most architects prefer the Corel graphics suite to make diagrams and designs.  The drawing power offered by the software is simply unbelievable as the software offers options for handling smoothing and corners while you can also redefine or merge output colors.

Tracing really falls down when it comes to text because to recreate readable text, you need to access the original font which can be really difficult.
