Drawing Software Brands

Drawing software is required by professionals who are either working in the field of graphic designing or art. However, the use of drawing software extends to other professions such as engineering and architecture as well.  Different drawing software is available in the market offer different features to users.

The Persistence of Vision Raytracer, or more commonly known as POV-Ray, is an example of 3D drawing software that can be downloaded for free and be used without having to pay for registration. The advantage of using this software is that it includes many mathematical functions and includes many editing features that can really help users working on images and graphics. What attracts people to use POV-Ray is the availability of third party software support. Extra tools, models, scenes and easy to use tutorials can be found online for people to consult and use.

GNU Image Manipulation Program, also known as GIMP, is another example of free drawing software. This software is used for free form of drawing. Additionally, this software can also be used to edit images in different ways. Also, GIMP can be used to create animated graphics. GIMP is used by people who have either started working with graphics or by professionals who work with images that are solely displayed on monitors or are printed using inkjet printers.

AutoCAD is an example of 2D drawing software that is used primarily by engineers and architects to design different structures. May it be cable routings, pipe designs or a house plan, AutoCAD provides all the tools necessary to create different designs efficiently. A major advantage that AutoCAD has that it is used globally. AutoCAD is not included in the list of free softwares. With the versatile features it has to offer, AutoCAD is a high priced software.

Adobe Illustrator is also a 3D drawing software that is commonly used by designers. The simplicity and the variety of professional features offered by the Adobe Illustrator have made it extremely popular. Artists, poster designers and website designers are some of the professionals that make frequent use of the Adobe Illustrator. The Adobe Illustrator comes cheaper than AutoCAD.

The choice of drawing softwares is dependent upon the requirements of a person. A student working on graphic assignments would definitely look for something free rather than pay hundreds of dollars in registration fees for a software whose full features may not be utilized at all. On the other hand, professionals such as engineers and doctors require specialized software that is equipped with the tools they require to create detailed designs. Free open source software would certainly not meet their requirements.
